The Dogs offense showed their true potential on Tuesday, scoring 12 against the Milwaukee Milkmen, their first double digit offensive game of the season. 11 of the 12 runs came in the fifth and sixth innings, where the Dogs put up 5 and 6 respectively. Dusty Stroup hit his first no doubt homer of the year, a missile off the bat at 108 miles per hour to the concourse in left field. A few two out rallies, clutch hits, and good base running lead to more runs for Chicago. Stroup drove in four runs, and both Bell and Teter drove in two. Four more players had at least one more RBI, and all 9 starters reached base at least once. Dogs pitching also had a nice day. Connor Curlis punched out six, re-tying him for the league lead, while only allowing one run. Austin Marozas threw a scoreless seventh, Brandon Scott threw a scoreless eighth in his Dogs and pro debut, and Nate Gillman settled down after allowing a couple of runs in the ninth, finishing his Dogs debut on a high note. The Dogs play an education game tomorrow, with first pitch at Impact Field scheduled for 11:30 am. Jeff Lindgren is handed the ball, as he looks to win the series for the Dogs.
