ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Chicago Dogs have won six of eight series this season, and will wrap up a six-game homestand at Impact Field with a three-game series against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. The Dogs (14-9, 2nd North) have lost their last two games, both against the Texas AirHogs, while the third game of the series was rained out. Game times are slated for 7:05 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 1:05 PM on Sunday.

LHP Austin Wright is set to start game one of the series on Friday night at Impact Field. The flamethrowing left-hander sports a 4.32 ERA in four starts this season. In his last outing against Kansas City, Wright allowed just one earned run on five hits over six innings, racking up seven strikeouts. The Schaumburg, IL native has totaled 18 strikeouts over his last two starts.

LHP D.J. Snelten will take the mound for game two on Saturday night. The former San Francisco Giant is 2-0 with a 3.95 ERA and 27 strikeouts in five starts this season. In his last time out, Snelten allowed just two runs on four hits and struck out three over five innings of work.

The series finale on Sunday will be started by LHP Luke Westphal, who has been simply spectacular this season. The Clintonville, Wisconsin native boasts an exceptional 4-0 record and 0.31 ERA in five starts this season. Westphal allowed one earned run, his first over 28.2 innings on the season, on five hits while striking out five over five innings in the Dogs’ 6-2 win over Kansas City in his last start on June 9.



The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are currently 14-12 and sit in fourth place in the North division. In its most recent series against St. Paul, Fargo-Moorhead dropped two of three, including a ten-inning affair on Thursday night. The RedHawks exhibit a high-octane offense that ranks first in the American Association in doubles (57), on-base percentage (.370), and total bases (398). Additionally, F-M has the second-most runs scored (148), hits (252), triples (7), and home runs (25), in addition to the second-best batting average (.287), slugging percentage (.453), and OPS (.823).  Jim Bennett, who has spent time as pitching coach for the Australian National Team, is in his first season as RedHawks manager.
