Despite a good performance by the offense, and a great effort by Dogs starter Connor Lockwood to keep his team in the game, the Dogs dropped their fourth straight in Winnipeg, falling to 21-50 on the season. Winnipeg took the fourth game of the series by a final of 7-5, winning their twelfth straight.

After a rough first inning where the Goldeyes scored three runs on five hits, Lockwood locked in. Winnipeg earned just two base runners through the last five innings of his start. On the night, Lockwood went six innings and struck out two. Regi Grace Jr. gave up a big home run in the bottom of the seventh that put Winnipeg up 6-4, and Cade Herrmann gave up an additional run in the bottom of the eighth.

The offense was productive, but not quite enough. After going down 3-0 in the first, the bats battled back to take a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning thanks to a passed ball, followed by a Jaxx Groshans home run to left field. Ethan Wilder, Giovanni DiGiacomo, and Nick Roselli all had RBI singles. Unfortunately, the offense mustered just one run after the fifth inning, and couldn’t keep up with the late-inning Winnipeg rally.
